Another Express Draw that might change your life
The Canadian authorities that govern immigration are conducting another ‘Express Entry Draw’ and have invited 3000 persons to apply for permanent residence. This is the fourth round of invitations within this year itself.
The use of this new format allows for more control of the invitations that are being issued. The Express Entry is the format that is used for selection of skilled workers under the Federal Economic programs that are invited to get a permanent residency in the country. In the event that there are a number of candidates with the lowest score and that they exceed the number of invitations, then then it shall be determined on a first come first saved basis.
This is a boon for employers who are looking to retain their workers and the government is seeking to promote this long term retention. While the procedure might look confusing, with the assistance of a good service the process can be simplified.
For candidates applying who have already been working for a while, this is a god send creating an opportunity for them to be able to try and stay in the country. One must ensure that the CRS score is over 450 points, else you will not be eligible for the program.
Submit your papers and you will be added to the pool, if found eligible. The candidates are ranked on a point based system (the CRS). Getting into the pool does not by itself guarantee a permanent residence. Once you are invited you are still required to meet all the other criteria and admissibility requirements under the Immigrant and Refugee Protection Act.
There has been a record low score in the last draw prompting authorities to consider that there needs to be a low base cut off as well.
